I would define szchiophrenia as, intrusive thouights, heard voices, paranoia, and delusions.

All of which, I take med for, and all in one medication too.

My partner who has schizophrenia once said it's hell and there's not much else to say. From my perspective it seems exhausting and disorienting, and isolating for no one to believe your reality. But I have "delusional" thinking sometimes so I can understand that.

I looked up the definition: A long term mental disorder, involving a breakdown between thought and emotion and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships onto fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation.
The definition for schizoaffective is: exhibiting symptoms of both schizophrenia and a mood disorder such as bipolar or depression.
That clarifies things for me.

Very well said. But if I sleep, I have no symptoms. Which makes schizophrenia episodic, not constantly present. Even if I have a crisis at 6 months, if I take pills for 1 week and the problems because of which I did not sleep are solved, the psychosis disappears. So there should be such an option - to stop the medication and start them only if the symptoms appear immediately.

yes it is mental harrasment. my stress levels as read on smart watches go through the roof. it is physical.
