I just lost all my flock of chickens including a rooster Herman who would attack me every morning. Some kind of animal breached the chicken coop. I have one left and from what I read she will be depressed and die too.

I hate how animals and humans are defenseless. we think and run around having all this power but yet we are nothing. I am so sorry for my chickens I am crying my eyes out first time I cried in years. I know that God takes care of all of his creatures after death.

I just can not cope with how defenseless my little chickens were against the predator. I have a whole arsenal of weapons for self defense after I was robbed. My chickens had no weapons for defense I am just sick about it. Love and hugs Jule

I would be heartbroken too.

Mother Nature is a cruel bitch at times.

Sometimes, I watch David Attenborough wildlife documentaries and get so confused who I'm rooting for....the lion cubs are almost dying of starvation but I'm screaming "run!" at the telly as their mother closes in on the zebra to feed them.

I'm so sorry your birds have been taken from you - but no doubt, their life with you was luxurious, happy and likely far longer than they would of survived in the wild.

Sending all my love xxx

I'm so sorry about what happened to your chickens Jules, that's really sad and must seem really unfair. Hope you can get some more to keep the lone one company or find it a new home? Sending hugs xx

I'm sorry about your chickens 😟😟😟
I had a chicken once and she was crazy! She would sleep with the dogs and they were scared of her! She knew she was the boss!

I love animals but I had to stop watching the shows because they animals are always getting hurt/killed 🥺 i can't stand it. I understand they have shorter life spans and they have predators but it makes me sad too.

Jules, your chickens are in heaven where no one can hurt them :nod1::hug::hug::hug:

Truly sorry for your loss! I consider any pets I’ve owned in the past, to be family members. What an awful experience this must be for you. Mental health issues or not, grief affects everyone. Keep reaching out! This is a time to be around supportive people.

The worst predator is man. Man abuses animals in the most cruel ways that's why I'm a vegetarian.
