Hi,

Can anyone help me in solving my problem? I'm 25 years old. Whenever I see my body I feel like another person. I even had thoughts of killing myself. My mind is of a girl and my body sucks. I'm a transgender and my feeling of not being normal is suffocating me.

I shared this with my friend. He suggested an OCD therapy treatment clinic in Toronto. But my inner self is holding me back. I don't know how to deal with it. Does anyone have similar issues? How can I come out of this? Please help me.

Thank You!

You need to get some counselling/therapy ideally from a qualified CBT practioner. OCD ultimately stems from anxieties. There are techniques that can be used to address the repetitive behaviours with OCD.
I'm not qualified to advise you, but a professional would be. I can tell you that counselling sessions are helping my daughter.
Sometimes SSRI drugs can be used if needed, to counter the anxiety.
