Hello all, I'm new here. I'm having a tough time (finding a new place to live, self harm, alcohol, stress, alcohol, self harm...) I would like to break out of this cycle but not sure how. Any advice would be greatly received Phil

:welcome: to the forum. There is a thing called the cycle of change and on it people usually have to try several times before they give up a bad habit. But asking about change is the first step on the road to recovery. What triggers you? Is there anything in particular?

I Would say stress is a huge factor. I put things off to the last minute, then feel I've been backed into a corner and then I can't cope
