Hi survivor, nice to meet you. I hope you can gain a little strength by joining this forum.

I got bullied at primary school, secondary school, technical college, at workplaces, by the army and police. I've even been set on fire on two occassions and had death threats many times. Now the bullies have stopped but I've found that I'm my own greatest bully.
You can't get away from your own personal thoughts, but you can train yourself how to change your automatic thought processes and learn what it is that triggers your anxiety.

As my therapist regularly asks me - ''What's the worst that can happen?''
So take a deep breath and remember that the fear your anxiety causes is actually worse than anything that is likely to actually happen. The fact you admit you are quite a happy person is a great sign that you can overcome this. Best wishes from Ireland!
