Hi Everyone I am 31 male from the uk new to forums never experienced anxiety before recently. I kind of always thought people should get on with it. Now I can really see how it can affect people and there lives and fully understand what people must go through. I look forward to talking to you all.

Getting on with it can result in ignoring or repressing something that needs acknowledging. Discovering more about yourself, identifying what relaxes you and de escalates your anxiety and what causes it to appear or get worse would be a good starting point. Maybe noting them down to see it physically infront of you.

Thanks Uno I am coming to grips with it now bit by bit I really scared me at first because I would have all these physical symptoms ( trembling , increased heart rate , felt like something stuck in my throat) I never have experienced anxiety before .

Hi BrightSpark74, I'm a newbie too...

Yeah, anxiety is really physical. Sometimes you get used to it and don't realise quite how tense your body is or how much adrenaline is circulating around your body until it hits you hard. Mindfulness seems good for this because you become aware of your own body and the sensation and can then relax (although sometimes it's more complicated)

Thanks whitefluffyclouds I have improved some much over this past week. I was very judge mental before this on anxiety and mental health but I have learnt so much from this experience you feel like your on your own but speaking to people on this forum has really showed me that I am not and we can really help each other my personal experience this forum has helped most.
