Hello, I have a lot of experiences with mental health issues and not a lot of support for it. I am looking for some guidance and support mostly. I have been having a lot of difficult emotional experiences related to my past and would like to hear other's ideas and maybe get some advice for how I could help myself feel better. I hope to be able to help, or at least to be able to offer some support, as well.

Hi jazminx, thanks for saying hi to me. Yes, I did manage to stay in therapy for four years when I was having counselling for substance abuse treatment. That was about 9 years ago. It went really well and then after I was no longer using, it began dwindling down and I felt like I was wasting my counselor's time.
I am trying counselling now, but it feels really bad after a session. I won't be able to stick with it because I live in another country but I want to get some therapy back home when I get there. I know I really need it.

Sorry for my late reply. My wifi went out. I did some some childhood healing therapy 2 years ago and i always felt so anxious after. I found listening to my favorite music, drawing, drinking herbal tea, crying and talking to my friend really helped me get through. I too am needing to do some more therapy for other things that keep coming up..Talk therapy is really good too to and you can do that with anyone really.
