Any ideas how to stop anxiety and depression and wanting to end my life..I want to be happy again. There wasn't any trigger for this last episode either. Am on antidepressants etc already. 😰😰

Hi and welcome to the forum, we're happy to have you here :welcome:

How long have you been on the meds? Could they just need more time to work? They apparently take about 4 weeks to start to work (4-6 weeks somewhere round there)

Hope yoi’re ok.
Just started med?
Med takes time to kick in or work.
I’m severely depressed (mental breakdown) on Prozac for 10 weeks. I’m not sure if it’s working or not.
I’m also on TMS. It also takes time to see a result.
I take Hydroxyzine then take a bath when i’m like you.

Glad you are seeing a psych tomorrow.

What about therapy, have you tried any and if so, have you got anything out of it?

Sorry you are feeling so horrible

Thanks for your replies and support. Yes I've tried therapy and have been on medication for years. Its just wierd as to why its happened again and for no reason. I pray for everyone suffering from mental health problems. It's worse than experiencing physical pain! Hope that your medication works x

Sometimes there isn’t any explanation, it just well, happens as annoying as that is.

Have you been on the same medication for awhile?

Yes. I have had dosage increased. I wish there was a miracle pill that could cure us. I can literally be scared of my own shadow sometimes.

Hello
I was on Lexapro for many years then quit it ( bad choice..... to be honest). I suffered severe withdrawal sxs. Then a relapse of depression. Doc wanted me to go back to Lexapro, so o reluctantly did do, but it caused me so many side effects. I was on it so many years. I don’t know how a long time use modulate neuro function in our brain but it was very strange. I’m still fighting to overcome ? depression. Hope you’re ok.

I've never been prescribed lexapro so I can't comment whether it's effective. I hope that you will get better soon. I've been on same meds for years although they changed my antidepressant to mirtazipine as I was hardly sleeping..I hope that you recover soon. I'm sure I'm worse in winter but I just feel that the drugs aren't working anymore. I used to be a happy bubbly person but I have changed. I look in mirror and say where are you Amanda? I can't believe that I want to die. It's like I can't love anyone or life when it's so sad as I want to
