Ive suffered from major depression and chronic anxiety for a few years now. Which has been made worse since i was jumped by 6+ "men" 4 months ago. Broke my top jaw off, shattered both my eye sockets, broke my nose along with 13 other fractures on my face/skull. Hit rock bottom now, and its affecting my relationship with my fiance. I hardly leave the house. Only to pick up/drop off my son, and to go fishing now and again. Look forward to speaking to you guys πŸ™‚

Hi and welcome to the forum. That sounds dreadful what’s happened. Are you seeing a pdoc for your depression cos it’s possible you also have ptsd after the attack. I’m not surprised you have difficulty leaving the house. But therapy could help you overcome it.

Hi daffy, yes I have ongoing appointments at addenbrokes hospital, and am due to see a professor Hutchinson who is the top man in PTSD and post traumatic memory loss. As I have the memory of a goldfish since it happened. Also I get words muddled up in a sentence, and cant correct it.. which is worrying! I'm also getting help from my psychologist, and a health care worker. Bit worried though as I'm totally dead inside. My misses is very patient and understanding, which racks me with guilt!

Hi prince charming! Part of the problem is, that I hate human contact altogether at the moment, feel sick at the thought of getting in my van. (Gunna sound stupid here haha) what's a pdoc?

Ah ok, yes I did have a psychiatrist, but he was a total let down. I have a psychologist now, he's a good fella πŸ‘
