Hi,
I'm 35 and feel like I cant break out of the metal torture. tried therapy, currently waiting for a new referral, CBT and on medication, gave up alcohol for over a year and put all my energies into work and education (sense of purpose helps right). Then got hit with a major episode that has rendered me unable to continue my studies and ive had to leave my job. I have started drinking again (the last three months) to escape the suicidal thoughts and it has helped to an extent. I'm really just hoping to find balance without being numbed if that's possible. At the moment I'm not so sure?? Well wishes to everyone struggling xx

Hi,
Drinking isn't the best thing to do if you are feeling really down and have suicidal thoughts.
Balance is a difficult thing to get but it is possible you just sometimes have to work for it sadly.
What medicine are you on? Do you feel like it helps?
Wishes back to you, hoping you feel better soon. :)
