I used to have a similar experience, don't worry nobody is coming for you and you've done nothing wrong.

You're hearing audio hallucinations as part of mild psychosis, please see a doctor and tell them what's going on and get some anti-psychotics, I promise they will stop you hearing the neighbours talk about you and you'll realise they were never talking about you in the first place.

It's very common for this to happen to someone going through psychosis.

That's what voices do, they play on your weaknesses. Mine used to tell me the police were coming to get me for illegal drug use and downloading TV shows before they were aired in the UK, nothing worth prison time.

In reality the police knew nothing about me, planes flying over weren't spying on me, cars parked on my street weren't watching me and my smoke detectors weren't bugged, it was all part of my psychosis.

Some people have even gone to the police to hand themselves in or ask why they were spying on them and all the police did was send them to a mental hospital as they get that kind of thing more often than you might think.

With medication and a short stay in hospital my delusions went away, I don't recommend hospital so if you go to your doctor and tell him/her what you're experiencing you may be able to skip the hospital part and just be on medication for a short period of time.

It's worse if you're alone so surround yourself with family or friends and ask them what they hear, if they don't hear anything then you know you're suffering from delusions of persecution and that you need help.

That's how mine started, hearing voices in my ears but they didn't seem to come from a neighbours house, I was told by my voices they were telepathic people talking to me, another of many lies my voices told me.

On medication voices can't do that any more, they're forced to speak in our minds a bit like our own thoughts but you can tell the difference, that's if they speak at all, for some people the voices go away completely.

If you're a bit weary of going to the doctors which I always recommend first you could try a herbal supplement that will do the same as anti-psychotics called Graviola, it's marketed as something that will give you more focus and in a way it does, it'll help clear your mind and let you gain insight into what's happening to you like it did for me, I used them for 43 days while waiting for a doctors appointment to get anti-psychotics and they helped me immensely.

They don’t seem to be in my ears. They’re outside the house or in the walls. Taps?
