Hey guys,

I honestly don't know what to do. I have been feeling extremely down with suicidal ideation and a strong urge to harm myself. I am taking sertraline 150mg's but I still feel like shit! I'm also having counselling.

I don't know what else I can possibly do. I'm trying to proactive and not just dwell. But nothing seems to be working. I don't know how longer I can go on like this.

I don't really want to go back to my GP because they will just up my sertraline to 200mg's and its already effecting my memory. Making me clumsy, forgetful and slow.

I can kinda of sympathise, I'l currently on 100mgs, but still really struggle with depressive moods, SHing and suicidal thoughts. I don't want to go back to my GP and admit I'm not getting better. I hope you can findbit in your to talk to them, over even mention it to your counsellor and they might be able to suggest something

It may be that your medication needs changing.
I think for me, though it was a while ago (10 years or so) that I was on it, Sertaline was one of the least helpful medications for me.
How old are you, by the way? There is always a risk that anti-depressants can actually make you more suicidal, and this risk is higher in under 25's. x

I'm going to see my counsellor tomorrow so I will mention how bad I'm feeling. I may also book an appointment to see my GP tomorrow. I'm 24 and also suffer from hallucinations visual and auditory.

How are you now? Did you get help? I think it's worth remembering that sometimes counselling makes us feel worse before it gets better.
