My panic attacks are getting really worse. I feel them almost every hour. I think I'm getting depressed too because I am getting housebound. 😢

:welcome:CallmeB,

I used to have severe agoraphobia and panic attacks and managed to overcome both,I am no longer housebound and I no longer have panic attacks.
These two books helped me a lot to overcome these problems.

Self-Help for Your Nerves: Learn to relax and enjoy life again by overcoming stress and fear: Amazon.co.uk: Dr. Claire Weekes: 9780722531556: Books

Anxiety and Phobia Workbook (New Harbinger Self Help Workbk): Amazon.co.uk: Edmund J. Bourne: 9781626252158: Books

Good luck with it all!Nikitax

Hi! Do you have anything that forces you to go outside, ex. Dogs? Are you seeing a therapist? Do you always try to fight your panic attacks? Sometimes it's better to let them come at you and submit yourself to them. Then they pass and you are so exhausted you might fall asleep for a while :)

Dear callmeB,
You should maybe consider seeing a therapist..panic attacks are the worst! You shouldn't feel depressed cause there is cure and you can overcome this !!!! Many people did so y not you? But if you think its too difficult to do it byyourself do not be ashame to seek for help!

I didn't go out for about a year and only realised by having back to back panic attacks. Then I was thinking what am I so afraid of. I changed medication and made plans about when to go out for example once a day around the block. Most days I still don't go out but I was proud of myself today because I felt anxious do I went swimming to burn off the nervous energy. It helped a bit it definitely took the edge off. You just have to get used to going back out and that you might panic because you are not used to it any more. In my case back to back panic attacks alerted me to the fact that something was very wrong and now I'm in the process of addressing it. Good luck Hun.
