Hello, and good evening everyone! Obviously, I'm new here. I have had Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, PTSD, and Clinical Depression for most of my life. GA and PA began when I was only 4 years old.

Not currentl, but I was in treatment for many, many years beginning when I was 4. I was on meds beginning at age 11. The past 5 years I have not had either.
Did treatment help?

How has life been for the past 5 years?

Sorry you only just walked through the door to find me asking questions! Have a wander round the place. I'll be mumbling in the canned foods aisle.

Treatment seemed to slow the progression of things. I guess you could say it helped me feel stabilized. However, I don't feel like therapy, or medication improved my conditions. It just seemed to allow me pause and remain the same. No decline no improvment.

It is actually the last 4-5 years of my life that is the reason I have joined here.
About 6months after I was diagnosed with Prolonged Grief Disorder I experienced something I never believed was possible... My dabilitating anxiety panic attacks, as well as all the symptoms they caused, suddenly stopped completely. There was no explanation that I could find for me to suddenly be so we'll that I was able to stop taking ALL anxiety and depression medication (And I was prescribed buspar at only 11 years old, that time forward I was always medicated) The last several years of my life have been more than amazing. Before 2014 I can not remember a day in my life as a child or an adult that was not plagued with fear, anxiety, depression, and panic. I had accepted that this was the hand life dealt to me and there was just no hope of ever knowing anything else. So, you can imagine that when the symptoms of my GAD, PTSD, PD, & Clinical depression returned just as suddenly and inexplicably as the stopped I had to find out if anyone else has experience this or something similar.
