As my "name" suggests, I live in rural western Canada, under the endless, beautiful prairie sky. My childhood was difficult and I have struggled with depression all my life. Last February, at age 25, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder. Since then it has been a painful struggle to accept the diagnosis and move on, but I think I am beginning to come to terms with this new life - adjusting my plans and expectations for the future.
I am a committed Christian and a member of a conservative Anabaptist sect. Currently I work part-time stocking shelves at a store, but my passion is art - it's just very difficult to see a project through to completion while battling depression and the "scatteredness" of a bipolar brain. I hope to get to know others who are walking the same path and exchange ideas and support.
