I am not one to typically go to forums to discuss issues I am struggling with but have decided since things have gotten worse I would give it a try. I have been having worsening heath anxiety due to leg pain I have been experiencing in my calf for a few days.. I have convinced my self I have DVT and at any moment I can get a pulmonary embolism. I refuse to go the hospital because every time I have in the past they always send me home and say it’s anxiety so I’m just stuck here wondering all the time if this time it actually is something serious... I’m not looking for reassurance that I’m ok but more so if others have suffered with similar issues and how they dealt with them... thank you :/

Have you been to doctors/hospital for this specific issue?

I've been through this, as both legs have been numb, painful at times and tingly for much of the last 8 months. Doctors say there's nothing wrong.

One way to check for blockages is to take the pulse in your foot (the dorsalis pedis is the easiest one to take):

If you feel a strong pulse in the affected leg, it is unlikely to be a dvt/blockage.

Also, DVTs usually present themselves as swollen (typically much larger than the other calf), and often red and irritated.

Is there any pain in walking which isn't prsent when still?

Also try the homan test:

It is entirely possible that your symptom is anxiety.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the lengthy reply , appreciate you taking the time to explain that all to me. I have tried the Homans test and don’t have any of the symptoms of that, in regards to the pulse I can’t find it however I just think I’m doing it wrong as I can’t find it in the other leg either. Thank you again though for reaching out!
