I’m not full on having one but there’s one building up now, I did have one about an hour ago.
I hate living with this, I’m not sure how many more times I can experience this frightening thing, it’s unbearable...I’m so frightened 😢

My therapist always told me to focus on my breathing and it will help every time.It did always work during therapy sessions to sit still and just focus on every breath I took in and breathed out.

Maybe try that? Hugs

Hi Sara

Darling, sit as still as you can. Imagine you're balancing a jug of water on your head - be absolutely STILL.

Only breathe through your nose - not your mouth.

Slowly inhale (gently) to the count of five....then exhale to the count of five....

You're going to be fine.

Nothing bad is going to happen to you - it just feels frightening.

Stay absolutely still and just breathe slowly through your nose for ten minutes.

You're not on your own - I'm here and not going anywhere if you need support.

It’s happening again now. It’s building up so so bad. I’m trying to do what people said but it’s so hard. My heart is racing and I feel like I’m going to be sick and pass out.
Heat is spreading all over me....my head is pounding and I have prickles all over me.
I feel like I’m going to have a stroke or something.
Why does this have to happen, I can’t stand it 😩😢😩

Remember that Panic attacks are not harmful. The best thing you can do or learn to do over time is to wish them to come on. Deal with them just like you were having a bad headache. Its uncomfortable, you know its uncomfortable, but you know it will pass in time. Get up, move around, spend that excess energy. Exercise if you can, call someone if you can.

You will be OK! we've all been there many times. It gets better!

Thanks for the tips.
It was the worst one by far iv ever had and went on for the longest time.
Ild gotten quite good at telling myself it’s a panic attack and will pass but this one was so bad i didn’t believe it was a panic attack and I nearly rang 999.
Things seem to be getting worse 😢

It's ok if you do call emergency for help, that's what they are there for, and if you are at the point you need reassurance then you should do so and not be anxious about that too :)

I hope today is much better for you! I went to the emergency room in January after a panic attack that was very difficult and I didn't realize, it happens to many of us!
