I was homeless for two weeks in central London in July 1997.

It could have been a lot worse-it could have been winter.

I mainly got through it thanks to Woodpecker & Monster Munch. :)

It's good you got through it and it's very scary and can make anyone feel low and alone.

Yer no family support is hard, i am in a different place now but i still feel alone. - guessing a lot of people on here do though.

Things can change on the outside but the inner stuff is harder to change sometimes.

Yeah your probably right.

Sometimes I envy bi-polar's I really do.

I wish I could have the high's of mania//hypomania.

They have regular hospital breaks too.

The last 3 years have seemed like a thousand years.

Still things could be a lot worse.

I've still got my supported lodgings & the support of my mum, dad & sisters and dog!!!

It's what the ex-shrinks have in mind though that terrifies me.

I've been fortunate enough to never have to experience a night without a roof over my head.
But I was technically homeless - and declared homeless by the council - when I went into the women's refuge.

What a fucked up and shit society we got here. Disgusting. All people globally should have safe, decent, clean, reliable, suitable, accessible, well-maintained, and affordable accommodation, appropriate to their needs, and that of their children and families :)

In another life most of us on here would probably have been extremely successful people.

I've never exactly been homeless... a couple of times me and my dad were in communes when I was young, and we didn't exactly have a house and a postal address. Since I've been independent I've been able to maintain myself and the last few years I've been living off savings.

Sorry about this-a misunderstanding.

I meant sleeping rough when homeless.

When I was homeless I lived on the thames embankment for three days then slept in Ham common (or rather on the common)!!!!

But it was intentional homelessness.

The PD hospital I was in was so horrible I chose the streets over it.

What's so upsetting is that innocent people have, are, and will die as a result of May's Extremist anti-EU Populist agenda & Policies.

I don't read the papers anymore, it's just too depressing.

We are extremely successful peeps already, simply by virtue of living with MH issues, a difficult task in the sort of climate we have today around health and social care :)

Experts by experience, but also achievers in living and coping ;)

Good point and duly noted.

What I really meant was in another life having what others would define as having productive lives.
