Dear Karen, I have read that they have some success with bipolar mania using biofeedback machines. It's worth looking into.

I'm very sorry you are going through this period of mania.

I don't have bipolar but depression and anxiety and it's been treatment resistant.
Recently I started a big focus on mindfulness and self compassion and it's been very helpful... Only been a few days, though.
I'm focusing on the mindfulness as often as I can throughout the day. Google RAIN technique and Kristen Neff. It's simple stuff but powerful. Just requires a lot of concentration and practice.
Can they put you on a different med?

Hiya. I have bipolar too. I think that the mania is just as dangerous as the cardiac arrest so needs medication. I can't believe that all meds are dangerous for your heart. I think there must be one out there that you can take to get you "down" from the high without tipping you into depression, which is always the danger of course.
