Have been prescribed Pregablin for my Anxiety

Hi afternoon folks,

I have been prescribed Pregablin for my anxiety conditions, which are mainly travel anxiety both for normally in time for travelling to and from volunteering North West of London, and also away for a few days here and there.

It's written up for twice a day and in the form of capsules, now I can't swallow, the liquid is hard to comeby. Therefore, I can have the capsule whilst eating, or having a soft drink, as it is designed to slide down.

I'll give this a go, and if this method of taking doesn't work, then, he'll the GP will have to try and get hold of the liquid.

Have a good day all,

I'll collect the actual medicine following on from prescrption, tomorrow, I wished to report to parents first, what action the doctor took, and before I go to the chemist.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Ok keep in mind that travel anxiety is different from not wanting to go somewhere because you have better plans or because you wouldn't enjoy your stay. I know some people can be very manipulative, like parents, they take you on a trip where THEY would like to go and don't care if that's ok with you as well and when you complain about it they say you got travel anxiety.

I personally prefer staying home bodybuilding and going out in town, I don't like going abroad because I'm lacking the commodities that I have at home and I just don't like seeing other places, it's not my thing. People have tried saying it's travel anxiety but I'm 0% afraid on an airplane, even during heavy turbulence, when most are afraid. So I have 0 anxiety I just got better things to do.

So you gotta watch out for that type of manipulation and make sure that diagnosis is not bestowed upon you simply for someone else to get their way.

I'm sorry if i haven't been clearer, I do suffer with anxiety, and my anxiety becomes worse for in time for being away for a few days here and there, and can be worse sometimes is worse, in time for t ravel to and from volunteering.

When we were, I always had terrible anxiety p roblems for in time for being away on holiday/vacation, and I was prescribed something else (Diazapam) that gave me a terrible side affect problems, and later on also Lorezapam.

i just meant, that I wanted to update parents to let them know, the up to date new medication I'll be trialing, as i didn't like to go ahead and collect, not without them knowing first.

So once again, I do along of my szchiophrenia health conditons, aside, I do suffer very easily with travel anxiety at all times, when preparing planning to travel to and then from volunteering, will be the case only for the moment, I'm not sure when I'll be away on holiday/vacatio next; anyway, I am trialing this method of med, and I shall see how I get on with it.

Hi Mayflower7,

So do I. I just knew i needed to have something to work better longer acting within my system for me. Method of taking wasn't a concern, it was the question of time of day, I took the last anxiety med. Anyway, I'm looking forward to trialing.

Thanks very much,

Take care.

Hi Evening Folks,

I'm much more happier aware of that I'll be taking although will take time to kick in, to have a longer acting on a daily basis medication - pregablin, hopefully this will be much better than the Lorezapam. I was mainly concerned, that it was the time of day that I took, the last med, which annoyed me, not in the sense of method of taking, that was the least of my worries.

Anyway, I'm happier now that I've been prescribed, Pregablin which I'll order tomorrow, and then collect from the chemist, when ready.

I have been having a hot cooked family meal, meat meal, and then I was relaxing down music listening and knitting.

I'll come back with a general update, about 10.15pm.

Best Regards all,

Have a good evening all,

Natalie.

Hi Evening Folks,

I have been very anxious at the thought of taking or uncertain, if to take the capsules will work with me, as I can't swallow medicine in the form of pills/capsules you name it. It's been suggested through f rom the GP service, I could try taking (and the whole capsule in tact obvsiously) with a food item. Or even at meal times. Now once again, I hadn't proped the idea of caspule taking, I knew I felt I had to remind, I couldn't swallow pills which includes capsules.

Anyway, I've now overcome and bounced back, from the fear of taking capsules, i've just remembered it's twice a day, I thought it was once a day for a second, and in terms of longer acting on a daily basis, I'll give anything a try, so Pregabalin will be, other than the Lorezapam.

I explained I do my normal coping stratergies, I just might need something extra on top added to help me out.

Anyway, as I say, I was very anxious, I am now better realising, that a capsule just might not be like a tablet.

Have a good evening all,

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Natalie,
I'm not very good with swallowing tablets etc either, I often vomit afterwards.
Capsules are much easier to swallow, I take mine with a glass of diet fizzy pop. I can't taste them then, I usually have a biscuit straight away.
I use positive thinking if I can that I will swallow.
Good luck

Hi Folks,

I am much much better today, I think I was basically tired yesterday and not anxious. I'd been out twice, spaced out through the morning. And also being on a alerting drug, such as Abilify causes tiredness within me. Yes, so therefore, I should relatively be ok, for when I am due to take the capsule, might not be tonight, possibly tomorrow, the prescription needs to be in the chemist today, we'll be in the area anyway, our other area near us, and allowing for a day's turn round, I should then have them, tomorrow night, in home.

Have a good day all,

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Folks,

I have now collected the packet of capsules, now, I don't think there will be any danger of me to overdose if this is the word to use, because as i can't swallow pills in the normal way of things, capsules as well for that matter, I doubt very much that will happen, and also, with mum to supervise me.

it's one dose, for twice a day.

I shall see, this evening it has to be 12 hour gap, so I'll take the very first one at 10pm, how I manage with the method of taking. Jokingly to follow, I'm not looking forward to it, at that point of the evening, anyway, for the time being, I'm fine, hardly anxious.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Folks,

Just suddenly occurred to me, I forgot I explained when asked, to the GP services, that I get anxious a few days, before travelling to North West of London for volunteering and from, and also away for a few days here and there will be the plan, or unless if we go away on holiday proper;

so therefore, I need not take the dose for tonight, so I can relax down for the nex few days, and then I'll certainly will commence with the course of Pregabalin, from Monday next week.

In any case, I have been prescribed a very low dose, and I am very aware that it will take time, for the med to kick off - kick in, to work into my system.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Folks,

I have just and have had my first dose of Pregabalin at 50ml. I could feel the capsule disintergrate somewhat, and worked, it went down. I was having a sandwhich, and I had a good amount of fizzy diet drink, afterwards.

So I feel, I can definitely manage t his method of taking. Now I wonder jokingly, if I could learn to take pills. For the moment, tablets I mean, for the moment, I'm happy with the capsule method of taking.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Morning Folks,

I took and had my 2nd capsule, this time just with a drink, and it was fine, eventually and the rest of the capsul after disintergrating, went down.

I think I can now forget about the liquid version of Pregabalin.

Have a good day all, I'll return with an update about 2.30pm, somewhere within MHF.

Best regards,all.

Hi Folks,

I know i'm very early to debrief.

Well, what can I say. The Pregabalin is excellent, I was holding bag of shopping goods, today and my hands my right one in particular wasn't shaking, and also lunchtime within at home, and made and had something pre bought, within at home, and whilst holding a fork, i felt interesting, just not shaking.

So the answer all the along; well, anxiety all these years creeping upon me, though the shaking eventually in the interim, I wouldn't have realised that anxiety was in fact very much the cause.

I'm happily and blissfully content, via Pregabalin, I happily swear by this class of med, ah, even though, only the 2nd dose in, into my system.

Have a good day all,

I;ll come back to debrief, about 4.30pm,

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Natalie

Glad to hear you're getting on with the pregabalin and are feeling less anxious about going out and about.
I know what you mean about swallowing capsules - I find them hard to take.
With tablets, I have to tilt my head backwards a bit and that helps, but with capsules, because they're lighter, I find if I tip my head forwards a little, the capsule then goes to the back of my mouth and it's easier to swallow. Weird, but it works for me!

HI Folks,

I have been feeling tired, a bit, though that might be the default of this med, as there is a warning that this med might make one feel sleepy.

Other than that, anxiety wise I'm very well.

Have been listening to music, and kniting.

Best regards all.

Hi Folks, Evening All,

I'm very well mental h ealth wise, and basically well back up to 25ml, I'm afraid, on Abilify, I needed to sort out my irritiblity levels, what with that terrrible weather recently experienced, and annoying ly more to come.

I'm less tired today, I think mainly I also took a dose of Fuxoetine, and along side spaced out with Pregabalin, and off course, me being me, sleep alot longer, than usual.

I'm much better today less, tired, I levelled off from the Fluxoetine, yesterday.

i am still h appily list ening to musicals and music, via my new walkman, and knitting.

Have a good night all, I'll be up and about on line, included MHF, here and there, until about 10.45pm, at the very earliest, and then I'll be reitiring for the night.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi Folks,

I am notiicng some issues, and I am going to try to (I've emailed ahead readily for Monday morning earlier on from 8am) bring forward my GP appointment from the following week, over to this week, I have been very very tired. So I want to address this is, issue, and to check on a couple of other pointers about Pregabalin as well, in terms of tiredness, I thought I better bring forward the appointment - hopefully - quick!

I explained I can't do Monday afternoon, and virtually all day Wednesday.

If i can receive any positive answers, I'll certainly will report, thereafter the appointment.

I don't know just yet, as I say, I've emailed in, whether if i can have an appointment brought forward to this week.

Also, and I am supposedly on an alerting med, being the Abilify.

I won't mind if he'll o rder Blood Tests, as I haven't had a blood test for my general levels for an extremely long time, and I always like to be kept updated with that side of things. My last one was back in June 18, and that was for the vitamin d only ! I won't probe him, I'll let him dictate the answers of the appointment meeting.

Have a good evening all,

This is my debrief for this evening,

Best regards all,

Natalie.

i had to discuss also the Abilify med, I had a query.

Overall, a productive meeting, for once!
