Habitica... good for someone with addiction issues?

Hi

I’m not sure if this is the right forum for this question but I’ve been trying to understand and recover from addiction issues and wondered if the app Habitica... which kind of gamifies your day and rewards actions and achievements with ‘points’... is a good idea or a bad one?

I’m thinking it might be a healthier go-to than drinking/drugs/co-dependent relationships etc but I’m not sure if that’s still perpetuating the dopemine hit that I seem to be controlled by constantly looking for ways to achieve.

Does anybody have any better insight into how these gaming mechanics work and if it’s a good idea for people struggling with more damaging habits to use these kind of apps?
