Great improvements in my OCD

I have improved greatly. The way I used to "calm" my OCD down was actually to face reality and read more articles on the internet. One particular article had a statement that said "Avoidance is never the solution". This statement triggered an extremely loud realization within me that made me confront all my compulsions. From now one every time I had a thought that told me not to do something I wanted to do,rather than suffer internally trying to chase the thought away,I went ahead and did what I wanted. All this time I also had an aversion towards a certain file in my house that I wanted to throw away but I have resisted it successfully all this while. I still have problems with cleanliness OCD and a non-OCD problem(anthropomorphism) though. Hopefully they will go away someday.

Well done, i'm glad you are improving. I think knowledge is essential and i feel like i am helped lessen the impact of many of my problems by learning more about them.
