Hiya,

I have depression and anxiety and care for my partner who has depression ,anxiety and agoraphobia.

Looking forwarding to participating in this forum as i think mental health is still a taboo subject for many

I also run my own forum so i will put a link for this one in there too :)

Welcome Fedup ;)

Yes I agree with you there about Mental Health being a taboo subject, a few years back I wanted to change everyone's attitudes, these days I just keep quiet.

Quiet Megannie???!!! I think not! Well at least thankfully not here!!

One of the things I'm really keen to see is this forum, but more importantly the members of it, helping lead the change we really need in the mental health field. I think the pooling of experiences here really could give a real edge for being clear about things which could be changed. (y)

This forum has grown out of the 1 in 4 Forum, which was started by the Mental Health Foundation in the UK in 2003. I had the job of running it for them from the day it started. In 2006 the Foundation decided that the running of a forum on mental health issues wasn't one of their priorities and a colleague (V01ce5) and myself took it over and ran it ourselves. :innocent:

18 months on we decided to expand what we were doing on the 1 in 4 Forum and start this style of forum as we wanted a more lively, more immediate, more relaxed and hopefully much more active community. We really want to see this community make a difference!! :sorcerer:

Morning fedup, sorry, Good Morning Fedup, I must try and keep positive in all I do and say!

I am very up and down at the moment, it seems to take very little to knock me down, but fortunatley it also doesn't take much to bounce me back up.
Reading some of the experiences of others helps me put what is happening to me in some form of perspective, not always in a good way but heh ho, thats life.

I want to be able to say something positive to help you through, but my mind itself is not clear so please just accept my best wishes and look forward to reading you on the site SOON!

Michael:hug:
