If it's like my local hospital there is nothing to do, nurses don't care and it's very very boring.

It's a holding place for people for their own safety, a hotel it is not

Expect the worse beyond what you see in front of you. They are documenting and creating a permanent record that can and will be used again at you. My recommendation is to not tell them shit. Not sure about your background. How old you are etc... But these people are not on your side.

I hope you have a better experience.

The other patients freely talked to me about problems, which you don't get anywhere else.

It's just not what it used to be when I first went there 14 years ago.

I spent pretty much a year on a mental health ward.

It’s boring.

The foods good.

The people are strange.

And every night on the hour they shone a light in my face.

I never been diagnosed so never been in a hospital. 1 question. Wheres the videogames? All that time in a hospital, it would be heaven to play Fallout 3 ps3, Bioshock 1 and 2, Deus ex human revolution......ok back to my videogame.

Hi, hope your ok.
I’ve been admitted twice in the past 6 months . It’s daunting at the beginning as everyone is in for different issues which is hard.
I couldn’t deal with everyone sharing their problems with me as I was in for my own problems therefore listening to everyone else made me feel worse.

One thing I will advise is take a notepad and pen and write your feelings/experience down. I did this and gave it to the doctor every week when I seen him as I was unable to express my emotions and thoughts to him at the start.

Hope things are ok for you

Shelly
