There now seems to be a small core of contributors to this forum, and i am wondering how you all feel about meeting up for small social event and to exchange thoughts, ideas and views and to get to know each other. Some seem to live in more distant parts of Devon and therefore some of us might have to be prepared to travel a little bit. This does not mean that people have to live in Devon or belong to this forum, if anyone in the region or elshere is interested then they will be welcome, similarly if you need to bring a companion then do so.

You can reply on this thread or by private message as to suggestions of where and when.

God bless you all for all your posts:grouphug::welcome:

To Ralph(Plymouth)

May I suggest you look on "Mental Health Forums". I have moved to Devon from Corwall, aand the Cornwall forum now has several groups. It is being run by the Cornwall Rural Community Council, and I have tried to get Devon RCC on line, but you need another peice of hardwear for that and I am fairly housebound. We have been working for this in Cornwall for years, and I was unable laterly to get around, but it has been taken on by someone else, and they are working wonders. It might give you some tips, as we are a rural area.

Hi Ralph,

That would be a lovely idea with Summer on the way perhaps we could arrange to help some members who would find it difficult to come by arranging lifts maybe.

Hi Abbi and all,
This thread was started in 2008 and got no replies at all, 1 from Maudikie in 2009 and now 2 in one day.
If people wish I could resurrect the idea and try again. What do you all think?

HI again Ralph,
OOPS i didn't notice the original date:redface:but never the less it may well be worth another try i would think, nothing ventured nothing gained.
I shall keep an eye on the thread to see how it's going.
Take care
