Does anybody know if u can get sent to hospital via sectioned or forced to stay in hospital due to self harming getting out of control ie.. being daily and suicidal daily what’s the odds of this happening also I’ve been saving my medication up to overdose with so I’ve stoped taking it just for that as I only get my meds weekly due to overdoses in the past.

If its for BPD they can be reluctant to section for self-harm as they like to emphasis a ''taking responsibility for own actions'' as they think sectioning for self-harm is counterproductive and leads to worser outcome than community support, they think sectioning for BPD leads to a dependent nature and the person becoming a revolving door patient as the persons coping strategies become overly reliant on impatient support.

Yes, nightmare57 is correct.
If you've got any diagnosis of Borderline/Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, it'll be extremely difficult to go into hospital voluntarily or by being sectioned.

I don't necessarily think that's a good thing, but what do I know?
