Hi there.

Been diagnosed with GAD since 2013. On Celexa 20 mg a day. Take Lorezapam as needed in panic attacks. Have terrible Gastric issues as well. Often times get heartburn- also going to endoscopy and colonoscopy to diagnose those. Heartburn occurs Frequently in bed. Scare myself into thinking its a heart attack. Anyone else? How do you get out of it? I hate relying on medicine to calm me down but sometimes its the only way... Just want this suffering and scare to go away

There is a link between your gut and your mind. It has been proven.

I suggest telling yourself that based on past experience you know it is heartburn, going to bed, then not fighting the anxiety - eventually you will fall asleep.

Rinse and repeat this process and it will get progressively better.
