so my mental state been eh for awhile. I have had a very low self esteem for a few years and that hurts. However I had a group of friends who I trusted and that was nice so I whenever I got very sad I knew at least I have friends. Well last week we were gonna go to someones house but abruptly they said they can't go bc of reasons and I thought okay whatever. anyways found out all of them lied so I wouldn't come. also found out they have a group chat without me. what they text I don't know. but this really messed me up, low self esteem now this. these are my only friends. I've had moments with low self esteem where I hate my appearance etc but now with this too I've been really sad I dont want to play video games which I always do with my friends I went to bed extremely early last night because I was so sad and I just couldn't think. maybe I'm overreacting but I really don't know what to do

I had a similar incident a few years ago where I wanted to arrange a small meetup with some people I knew from high school. We fixed up on a date but they cancelled the day before; I'm sure they never intended to come at any point of time.

I think it's unrealistic to assume that all your friends will remain your friends forever. Some friendships are seasonal, so as surely as you'll lose some old friends, you'll make new ones -- like people on this forum!

It's just these are my only friends and I've known them for years. Also I'm very shy and I can't make new friends really it's very hard for me to even tlak to new people. and Im already messed up by my self esteem so I guess this is just adding to that

First I would talk to them . Find out why they did this. And tell them how you feel.
