finding a private psychiatrist? not in yellow pages

Hi there,

How would you go about finding a private psychiatrist. I have looked in the yellow pages and they are not listed. I have looked online but everything keeps coming back as psychotherapist. Is this the same thing?

Psychotherapists cannot prescribe medication, it's a type of Therapy.

Have you looked under Bupa in your area ? You should be able to find a Psychiatrist there.

If you want a private psyciatrist your prob best bet contacting your local private hospital.

As others have said contact your local private hospital (which is what I did).
