I know SPECT. Is this what you’re looking for? It’s here in the US but it’s costly since insurance dorsn’t cover it.

@Catty5 I think it is very similar to
Therapy usually doesn’t work for me because of my profession. And I really have no issue I have to deal with at therapy right now. Mine is “brain fatigue” that is more likely a brain functional issue.
Hmmm so how do you fix a functional issue?

Also btw SPECT is very similar to PET i think. It's just a bit annoying that it has a little bit of radiation lol

How’s going? Hope your strange perception is getting less.

My brain lost equribrium when I quit Lexapro 2 years ago that I was on for 15+ years.

I started SSRI late 30s when I experienced severe dissociative anciety attacks.

I think imaging will help docs but how to treat a dysfunctional system in a brain seems so complicated. Even ECT doesn’t work for some people.

I was ok for 2 days, symptoms less very still felt disconnected and just confused about life.

However today I had one of those dissociation attacks or episodes.

How have you been? How long have you been suffering?

Wow lexapro for 15 years? Why did you take it that long and why stop

Lexapro was to prevent “dissociative attack”. I stopped it when GP said he can sees a scar of the heart attack on EKG. Lexapro affects heart negatively.

This time. I have no acute dissociative attack but I feel weird for s year and a half

I’m sorry you had one today...

Aww sorry to hear that. How do you mean you feel weird? There must be a solution...I feel like if we had a group of people with similar symptoms and a psychiatrist to talk and analyse each one then they could easily find a pattern and provide a fix

It’s a detached feeling from my own body. It confuses me.
I wish they would have better meds.
Dissociation:depersonalization/detealization are not really established area. They say SSRI works but i’m not sure.

And as you say, it’s hard to expain our sensation or perception verbally. My coworker psychiatrist just told me “dissociative episode”. That’s all about when I tried to explain it.

For me its different. It's not detachment from my body, but from everything outside my body and co fusion about existence. Like my brain cant understand if I exists and what is existence etc

My brain cannot comprehend my “existence”. I’m confused a lot. But I don’t feel strange in my surroundings.

From what i have read, dePersonalization is the feeling of a disconnect from yourself, your body, deRealization is more about the feeling that the world around you is not real, is this right?

I haven't had major confusion in the past few days, only moments of being a little confused but I just find something to keep me occupied then...I notice my worst confusion attacks happen when I am not home and I haven't been out the past few days. I am struggling with other things more at the moment :( how are you?
