Himy name is s Steven am a 35 yr old male who used to work in IT. Am your typical developer type whos introverted.

I have been working on and off in IT for the past 10yrs+ but have always struggled to keep my job. The IT industry is like the jungle because it's very much survival of fittest otherwise be spat out. The work environment is horrible it's not supportive at all. You work hard to try to deliver the goods but are never appreciated and are always to blame if something goes wrong.

I fucking had enough of IT(excuse the pun). I tried to change career to being an electrician but there isn't anyone willing to train you up. The so called courses you do that are ran by city and guilds are a joke. They simply can't train you to be a competent electrician in 2yrs. The tutors that teach the course know this.

The government is a joke they pay youngsters to work via an apprenticeship but they probably have more interest in getting laid than laying cables. With the cuts the government is making apprenticeships are no longer a commodity. Thats what old hands have been saying.

Because of background and interest in IT I have always felt like a social outcast throughout my teenage yrs and adulthood. I Never developed any social skills which then has a major impact on me finding a partner. I find I have nothing in common with the vast majority of ladies. I end up finding it difficult to socialise with them.

I am feeling very frustrated and angry. I do have support from Manchester mental health but it doesn't really help.

That's good you have a job man it helps with meeting women to as you seem well adjusted, have you tried any dating sites? I was uncomfortable talking with women at the start too but dating sites are good just for building confidence even if you never meet it can just build confidence there's a lot of women on them who are just killing time and will chat.

If you can't talk to women locally message some women in other countries on badoo or okcupid or something for a chat it can help getting use to talking to them.

Do you play any sports? You could join a local 5-a-side or running club (that caters for beginners if you're not quite there yet). It would do your confidence the world of good, get you out of the house and...well... things will probably happen for the better from then on.
