I’m so sorry you are feeling this way. These feelings are very serious. Life is precious and worth fighting for, always. But you reached out to us here..that shows courage and someone not ready to throw in the towel! Can you tell us more what’s bothering you??

I don't have the energy to type everything so I'll just copy paste from a previous thread.
I am 21 years old and currently living with a Narcissistic mother whose abuse is getting worse with each day. I am dependent on her for living so there is no way of walking out. There is a huge stigma associated with breaking up with toxic mothers in India because here people think theu are the epitome of unconditional love (lol).
Now because of quarantine, her abuse is getting worse and i don't know how to handle it. In the recent past, I've come very close to attempting suicide, but every time i stopped myself. I don't think i can reason with myself and stop it from happening anymore.

You must be feeling awful. Quarantine has been hard on everyone.
Ive been dealing with a super critical mother all my life. I know how hard it can be. I’ve dealt with emotional abuse from her, and while I know she loves me, I also know it’s her own issues that are causing her to lash out at me.
Your mom is fighting her own demons and she probably takes it out on you. It’s no reflection on you or who you are; the same would happen to anyone who is there with her.
this is just a transitional period; you won’t be dependent on her forever. Is there any way you can visit a trusted friend or relative? Have you communicated with her on how damaging her comments are?

Please remember suicide is hardest on those left behind. There are people in your life who love you and would be devastated if you were to go. :( they’ll be dealing with it for years and years after. Please, you are a baby at only 21. You have your whole life ahead of you

I don't think the problem is your mother. If your life meant something to you , at least more than some hardships, you would look past your mother and not even bother.
I suggest you start clearing up your mind about your life goals and not be afraid to ask yourselves questions that you never tried before or were too afraid to do so.
When you start asking the question all you have to is not be afraid to face the answer no matter what it would be .. if you reach it it is already a big win. Then what is left is to courageously accept it and work on it no matter how hard it is.
Remember that sometimes one dislikes something but it is not really a matter of like it or hate it, because you might like something and hate it the next day.

Also I’m hearing voices at night I had to sleep on the sofa down stairs because the voice at out side my bedroom window. Well they seem so real but I know there not atm

I've been there and more than once-and I've come out of it and was infinitely glad I didn't act on my wishes. Suicide is a terrible mistake and once you've done it there is no going back. Like they say, it's a permanent solution to a temporary condition. Seek help if you're in that state, I did and it saved my life-literally. The best days of your life might be right around the corner, just a few days/weeks/months away, don't make the mistake of missing them because you lost faith that things would ever get better. They have and they will. Stay the course.

The isolation from this pandemic is terrible and Quarantine has many, many people anxious and depressed. The whole world is sharing that right now, you are not alone. People in India, America, Russia, Britain, you name it are struggling. But, it will end and not too far in the future.

Remember, you are not alone. Millions share your anxiety. We're all going through pretty much the same things right now. On the good side, many wonderful companies are working on a vaccine right now and we should have one in not too many months. When that comes out, our society will start getting back to normal. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I promise you.

I agree with what other people said. I'm sure there are people in your life that would be devastated if you were no longer in their life. Is there some action you can take to improve your current situation? I know there is some action you can take that would improve your life to the point where you don't feel suicidal anymore. Search for it. It's there.

I'm 66 in a few weeks and I wonder where the years have gone!

I have suffered from chronic depression most of my life, since I was only a teenager. I've contemplated suicide several times, a couple of times quite seriously. Today I am SO glad I didn't do it-and that people in my life noticed there was something wrong and acted for my benefit.

It's the nature of depression to come and go. You'll have periods of deep depression in your life, but it will eventually pass. It always does. Don't make the mistake of thinking your problems are unsolvable or will never go away, they always do in time. Suicide can't be revoked, when you do that it's final. There are no do-overs.

As I've said before, it's a permanent action to a temporary problem-don't let a temporary condition of depression cause you to make that mistake. Reach out and get help.
