Feeling completely hopeless about ever working again

Hi everyone

I'm feeling so super negative and sad about the prospects of ever finding a full time job again. The truth is, is that I actually enjoy full time work a lot. I love getting up early, having my coffee, checking the emails at work and just being part of something doing something.

But my last experience has made me super depressed and fearful ( boss targeted me at work and made me feel stupid and incompetent ) and as everyone knows, job searching is one of the most thankless and depressing tasks ever .

There's no such thing as an entry level job anymore, you're literally up against 20 other people for one position. It's hard even to get an average job let alone a good job. I have a degree, a diploma, enough experience in my latest field to warrant something entry level but every single description asks for 3 or more years experience.

I hate sitting at home everyday looking for work and feeling so bored and directionless when I want to work again so bad. I feel embarrassed not working when I should be at my prime kicking goals and just being NORMAL.

Maybe start with an low level job so you keep working, the longer you stop working the harder it becomes to stay motivated...and it keeps some money in your pocket...?
