It's called rapid cycling. The important thing is to have the high treated and not the low. Treat the low and you make the high higher but if you treat the high you even out quicker. I find Olanzapine good in these episodes. Be kind to yourself and you know where I am. I'll send a message on messenger so you know it's me. xxxxx

Think id better keep the crisis number on redial.

Feel ok at the moment but ive gone from one extreme to the other. Done a pile of ironing and then went outside to clean the windows - in the rain-

Felt right at the time

Hi Daffy - I hope that things are a little better for you.

I felt awful a couple of weeks or so ago - & it passed. I have been feeling a bit mad last night & today; but I know that this will pass too. I do seem to get better at dealing with odd mental & emotional states - & I think that we do. It is almost like it is a mundane annoyance sometimes to be in bad states. Not to play down how we can feel - but when it becomes the norm to feel like this sometimes, for decades on end - it does get like that.

I have been getting irate with people that don't have diagnosed MH problems, "carers" if you like - that say they understand, but haven't got a clue. I'm sick of getting advice off people when I haven't asked for it; & people acting as if they have some kind of deep insight into my "condition". When really they haven't got the faintest inkling of what this stuff is like. My friend always says that the people who cause the worst damage are the "well meaning fools" - I agree with him. There are people in my life who understand, of course, but they are few. It is good that we can write stuff on here.

I have always got the most therapeutic help from other "sufferers".

I don't think people understand how it feels not to feel the same way two days running. I'm quite stable at the moment but one evening last week I began an online conversation with a friend and the next minute I was crying and he had to ring me up. 48 hours of sameness would be like heaven.

I just wish I had the peace of mind I had allot when I was a kid, I have tiny moments of it; but it never seems to last. I suppose it's the same thing - it would be Heaven.

Just to let you know im feeling a bit calmer now. The rapid cycling is nothing like as bad, so i think the sleeping pills have helped. My SW is coming out on wednesday and she has said she will get me an emergency appt if its still needed.

Thanks for your support.
