Feel like I need to be in hospital/not drinking anything

I'm not drinking anything because my alters and I agree this is the fastest way to end up in hospital, which we see as the only safe space. The worst part about this is that no one else on the entire internet seems to have this issue. I feel very alone.

It's messed up, I know. Does anyone else have/had issues with drinking fluid or feeling like they "need" to go to hopsital, and are there any alternatives to harming myself?

I'd literally do anything to end up there again...I've already been twice, one of which was overnight

(Not sure where to post this, therapist thinks I'm traumatised and I know that feeling unsafe is linked to trauma, figured here is where someone might be most likely to have an answer)

Sorry you're not feeling safe.

Where I live, all a person has to do is go to the hospital and during an evaluation say they're thinking about doing self harm or planning on suicide. Then they're admitted.

What about the hospital makes you feel safe?

Thank you for your help. I think the hospital makes me feel safe because it would mean that Jessy is safely away from our parents. We still live with them.

(I'm not sure why she's so scared, she constantly says "please don't hurt me" when they're around, indicating abuse, which I can't even remember. Although all I remember of my childhood, apart from school, is a jumble of screaming and crying. I know we were shouted at a lot.)

Maybe you should try to communicate with Jessy to find out why she's so scared? If you know what she's saying you should be able to talk to her.

And is there a way for you to move somewhere else, away from your parents?

Thank you SunnyDaze, I have tried to ask her before but I'm not confident that even she knows why she's scared. I'm afraid I'd upset my parents if I moved away, haha. I'll talk to my therapist about it :)
