Growing up we all had influences of what life was supposed to be compared to reality. I'm not saying anything till I get replies. How was your life effected in childhood by your surrounding elements of family, tv, doctors, law and such. Just curious to know. I could fill pages with conflicting elements and reality vs expectations and teachings. This thread is open to everybody.

I saw so many women crying in my childhood.
I *thought* they were such fragile beings that needed to be handled with care. (That's not sexist 'cos I was a kid at the time)
Then when I grew up I saw that wasn't true. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way.
I've got myself burnt a few times because I refused to believe it.

lol @ Freudian reason.

In spite of psychiatrists and the like insisting that something must have happened in my early childhood to make me this way, I think back on my childhood and realised that my expectations of life and other people were too high.

I was so loved unconditionally and supported by my parents who were (and still are) very much in love with one another. My sensitivity and shyness was talked about by my Mum like it was a lovely and special thing. I thought the bubble of love I lived in was how it really was.

Then I entered the real world and it's loud.. so loud, so insensitive, other kids are so rude, adults are rude, judgements and more fucking judgements and this hyperactivity around comparing and condemning.

I blame the outside world and reality for crushing my spirit.
