Hey new here but feeling horrendous and would appreciate some positive advice if anyone has any going spare!

My body reacts to literally *everything* like a car crash. I’m having trouble eating because my digestive system shuts down. Even a lack of something is stressful eg if I take a rest day I’m climbing the walls despite downing plenty of Diazepam because I MUST be productive and cannot live with myself otherwise. The more stressed I get the less I can do so i get more stressed and on it goes. The answer isn’t to do everything all the time (as I would like to) as I just break my body and go back to square one. Have no balance function and something inside refuses to allow me to accept that I’m ill and need to rest or can’t do as much as others, it’s looking for answers and work arounds.
Live in an incredibly pressured situation which I can’t change which doesn’t help at all. Self care goes down on the mental “failure and waste of productivity time” list and although I know that to be wrong I can’t help it, which I also hate myself for. I’ve always been immensely determined and I can’t make myself accept living in a rut caused by anxiety. I want to overcome all my challenges and it’s my own body/brain I’m fighting so it’s really confusing and hard. Seems the harder I fight the worse it gets but the less I fight the more I spiral out of control. In close contact with relevant professionals but weekend etc and would appreciate any help! Tia :)

Hi :welcome: to the forums :)

Have a look around, the anxiety section is popular. And the chill out section at the bottom is for just that, and get used to the site.

Hi and welcome :)
What you've written sounds very familiar to me, stress, pressure, constantly having to do something... I don't have any answers I'm afraid, I hope your weekend isn't too bad x
