Hi, this is my first post here, found this place by googling and googling :)

I have schizophrenia. I was getting DLA and Incap for about 6 years. Then in 2012 I was changed over to ESA conrtibutions based. The letter stated I was being placed in a WRAGroup and if I didnt attend my benefits would be stopped.
6 months later they sent a letter saying 6 months from now my benefits would be stopped and 6 months later they were.

None of these letters told me where or when these WRAGroups would be.
I still recieve DLA but no other benefit.

Has this happened to anyone else, they tell you, your going to be given help and then you get nothing?
Ive no idea what to do, its been 2 years since they stopped the benefit and im still waiting for some sort of help.
My pyschiatrist and GP both state its not something they know about and leave it at that.
I live in the West of Scotland if that helps.

Thankyou for any help forthcoming.

That is very good advice from Nikita.

If you feel you need more help with this Citizens Advice Bureau can help or suggest benefits advisers that may help.

There is an online group I have found very helpful called Benefits and Work. They have a free newsletter, but you can get really useful guides to the best way of filling in the claims forms for ESA, DLA, PIP if you subscribe, it costs £20 a year and for me it is definitely worth it.

There are also some forums about these benefits online.

Wishing you good luck.

Thankyou for this :)
Its not the benefit being stopped that bothers me, Im living with parents so dont need much £. But I cant understand why nobody has ever actually contacted me about going to Group.
Cant find anything about them, in my area, online either.

Thanks again, some useful links to follow, hope your all well :)
