hi I have been on esa since September this year I went for my medical and scored 12 points I then had to apply for a mandatory reconsideration I sent in by recorded delivery my supporting medical evidence in which the dwp denied receiving I have proof with the tracking number that it was signed for they therefore made their decision without looking at my evidence and turned my application down and have told me to appeal I have depression and anxiety and I can honestly say this process has made my anxiety go through the roof I really don't know how much more I can take I have been told by the job center to claim jsl and that my current sick note does not apply and that iff I was to claim jsl I could not put down my current disability and would have to say a different illness I find this all very confusing can any one advise me HELP

Have you had a look at the Benefits and Work website:

Home

I have heard that the chances of winning the appeal are usually good.

I can recall when I was applying for PIP, they also told me that no evidence was received. Even though I actually stapled it to the form so they couldn't possibly lose it. I phoned them up to get an update and was told they had no evidence. Phoned back the next day - they said actually decision has already been sent out to you, demanded it was read over the phone - thankfully I got the award.

I would advise, not to give up your fight. This is what they want you to do - that's why all these obstacles are in the way, they want people to give up and lose hope. We are a burden to them.

hi I sent my appeal off yesterday by recorded delivery again I have since found out that before you appeal you can ask for the decision be revised or superseded revised is better due to making the decision with out the full facts even though I know they had them I have proof of signature who signed for the letter they do not tell you any of this I never realised that these people are in that job to put obstacles up for people who are disabled really don't understand it iv clinging on to hoping there is justice out there merry xmas
