Emotional Regulation versus Emotional Dysregulation

Humour is one sure-fire way of relieving tension and transforming a crap situation into a bearable even enjoyable one.

Laughter has a powerful effect on your health and well-being. A good laugh relieves tension and stress, elevates mood, enhances creativity and problem-solving ability, and provides a quick energy boost. But even more importantly, laughter brings people together. Mutual laughter and play are an essential component of strong, healthy relationships. By making a conscious effort to incorporate more humor and play into your daily interactions, you can improve the quality of your love relationships—as well as your connections with co-workers, family members, and friends.
Humour should form an essential part of your daily emotional regulation. Read more here at the URL below. I'd recommend working through the headings on the left of the page too.

Hello again, Mark...

Not sure why I want to post this here really. I've been listening to this song. Remember it from his album Marjorie Razorblade in the Days of my yoof...

Can something make you smile with joy and hurt like hell and speak deep truths to you it's almost unbearable for you all at once?

Here's from Youtube Kevin Coyne, House on The Hill

Funny, funny, funny, funny, oh so funny that's it's making me cry...

Thanks for the link Mark.
I managed to go to see the comedian Stewart Lee a fortnight ago which was well worth it. It is nice to be able to experience a postive emotion at the same time as everyone else. I find that the connection can ward off my loneliness, perhaps only for a few minutes but it leaves all the same.

You're welcome. That must've been great to see Stewart Lee. Nothing eases like laughing along with a roomful of strangers. Or as you say, a good laugh is a world-beater!
