Like the Custard Cream always on Sunday afternoons, the Penguin and Kit-Kat at 6:30pm Mondays along with the tin of Heinz chicken soup that same lunchtime....why do I put myself through it.

Try having OCD. I don't bother or buy every variety (in 4s of course). I have been known to get a Walkers variety of 18, fancied a crisp, couldn't decide which to have so eat 4 crisps out of every bag and tossed the rest in the bin. It's the same with biscuits. Gotta laugh haven't you

Hmm my big ones chocky...and often lots of it! I have a routine in the evenings, 1 duo mars, 1 bounty[milk], 1 twirl and 1 flake.

Lavish chocky cakes also feature highly and the ultimate binge is Thorntons or M&S belgian chockies....to die for!

I used to binge eat on junk food as a child. As soon as I moved out I hardly ate junk food at all and I enjoyed different food and cooking. My parents concentrated on making sure I shared their view that junk food was 'evil' and made such a big thing about it that I feel it created the problem. If I wasn't restricted it in such a way I think I wouldn't have been so fussed about it. I also didn't really get fed enough and didn't really get to try varieties of food, I also wasnt allowed to cook even if I bought the ingredients because my mother didn't like me to. I was often hungry- they didn't starve me or anything like that but I never had proper portions, a proper meal would be a huge meal in my mum's book. I thought healthy eating was the pieces of lettuce put on the side of my pizza. I know my mum had her own eating problems and I am not trying to demonise her for this but my binge eating issues left when I wasn't in the presence of my parents.
I'm not sure if this relates to the article exactly but my eating habits changed for the better when I was around people with healthy attitudes to food, who wouldn't make me feel greedy for being hungry.
