I am terrified at the thought of getting pregnant because of my extreme fear of being sick, but I have heard of some people with emetophobia who actually made it through? I just wanna know, if you survived a pregnancy with this phobia, at what cost though? How did it affect your mental health?

Welcome KindPeach,

Not all pregnant women are sick and i think there are tablets that take away nausea. I think with help, you could cope well.

Are you getting any help?

Hi I suffer with that. Having dbt for it. My first pregnancy was not too bad but could not drink orange. Felt dreadful when got injection when in labour. Panicked etc. Then went to sleep, had her and fine. Second one I was okay but had nothing at all while in labour and was fine. There only a few people I know of who have not felt well. All the others were good.
