Eating right before bed

I don’t know if I technically have an eating disorder. I have developed the habit of eating a large amount of food right before lying in bed to go to sleep. I want to implement strategies I have read about like recording my thoughts when I get the urge to eat, using a mantra, and delaying. I want to give myself a reward if I successfully employ the strategies. At this point the habit is so strong that the promise of a reward hasn’t been enticing enough to curb my eating.

My question is has anyone been able to successfully use the above mentioned strategies? What other strategies might be useful including rewards?

I get the munchies and like to sleep on a full stomach but I have acid reflux so must take some caution with it.
I sort of plan ahead. I make sure I have munchies around that are high protein or veg and low cal so I don't feel badly about the snacking
