I had to fill in an application form for my new driving licence, and had to tick the box which says I have a serious mental illness. Will they be likely to ask me any questions about Dx and what medication I am taking? There was nothing about it on the form. I am a bit worried as it's due to expire shortly.

goodness knows!
The Medical Dept. of the DVLA might ask you to fill in a form and there's a possibility that they will write to your GP and Psychiatrist if you have one, to assess your ability to drive if you are on medication.

Thank you for your reply Amathus. As it was a paper form I did manage to scribble on there that my illness is in remission. I had to see the psychiatrist a few days ago, but I think she will back me up. Hope so as I love getting around in my little sports car!
