This works for me - I try to turn off the TV or the computer about an hour before going to bed, so my mind starts to relax and wind down from the activities. Try deep breathing as well when you are already lying down - this will help you relax. and I fight any urges to think about the things that worry me because this will result in me being up until the wee hours of the morning. :(
