I've been having fun doodling lately, and find it very relaxing. I found a really cool idea on the internet, and even incorporated it into the title page for my Art in ECE Curriculum Resource! In case anyone else is interested, here is the link:

Hi valleygirl :)

Doodling is very relaxing, and helps take your mind off things. I doodle from time-to-time. It's easy cos it's not like creating a piece of art, that requires thought, preparation and careful execution. But just getting a sheet of blank paper, or even a little notepad, a pen or pencil, and drawing random shapes and patterns. It's very absorbing, and you can leave off it for a while, and start it again later.

It's almost like a form of day-dreaming in a way, and is kind of a brief, other-worldly remove to a chilled out place :)

When you look at what you've doodled, there's often some pretty interesting patterns and shapes there :)

I've discovered Zen doodle in the internet and I've really taken of with that. It's so much fun! I'm even thinking that if/when I start to feel like I want to SH I'll try to doodle on paper what I'm feeling instead! I love to listen to relaxing music while doodling, and I splurged and bought a huge set of coloured sharpies.

You are welcome! I didn't do those exact ones that are posted, but that website has inspired me to do my own drawings similar to that. I've been looking at tons of other Zen doodle websites and have been trying out loads of other ideas as well. Here is another good link:
