Hi everyone:)
I'm a college student and feeling a little difficulty in studies. I'm considered an intelligent student among my class fellows and teachers and get top marks every year. but the problem started when I got admission in college, studying become a hard job for me not an enjoyment. I compared myself with other intelligent students and got depressed when they're encouraged by teachers, though that doesn't mean I didn't do well, I was among the Toppers like always. but the main problem is that I've started to compare myself with others, stopped to enjoy, worries too much as I want to get high marks and want to do everything almost perfectly. but when I sit down to study, I feel hasty, bored, tired, and miss the enjoyment though I wasn't like this before. I'm really worried as this will affect my exam result. please help me. I don't know what to do?

Hi Hopey,

Good to see you are doing well at college. You could be a bit jaded, maybe take a trip to the local town and enjoy some of its comforts?

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply, BT:)
I often take breaks to relax but I realized (may be just for me) it's just a temporary solution, as when I return to study, the problem persists:(

It sounds like you have lost your mojo. It happens to us all from time to time.
I suggest you join a social club at the uni, and get your competitive spirit flowing again.

I see you posted on the anxiety section, so perhaps it is that.

From somebody who has been there, all I can say is don't be afraid to fail.

You do seem upbeat, don't let them get you down. ;)
