Don't know how long I can do this

I can't get out of my own damn head. I wish I could just tune out and soak up everything like a sponge, but I don't even feel emotions the same way anymore. I can tell the difference between happy and sad but the actual extent of the emotion is so weak compared to years ago. Nothing makes me feel good anymore.

Any time I try something to help myself like excersize or sleeping better, eating better whatever, I'll be motivated to change and then after a few days just start to think it is pointless and go back to how I was before. It's just a vicious cycle.

I've been like this for so damn long and I'm starting to think there is no point carrying on anymore. Perhaps I wasn't made for this world.

I'm on antidepressants but they don't seem to be doing anything yet. I'm sick of waiting.

Well, time to go to bed and repeat the cycle...

:welcome: to the forum. How long have you been on anti depressants? Sometimes it can take a few months for them to start working. I know it's hard but please hang in there. I suffer horrible depression too. That and the numb feeling a lot.

Sometimes we all need a breath of fresh air, for me it is often a book that does it, or a new part of Buddhism that I’m studying, or even dreams (I found that keeping a dream journal makes me remember my dreams a lot better).

Sorry you feel that way. I've been there many times myself. Antidepressants often take 4-6 weeks to work (5 was always the magic number for me).
Talking to others on the forum has helped me express myself and feel comforted when other methods fail. Hope you stick around. Best wishes.

Hey man, I know how it feels to constantly be in your head, rethinking the same negative thoughts over and over again.
