I have been trying to get on disability for my schizoaffective for 3 years. The judge thinks I can work, but me and my doctors and my therapists all agree that I am not well enough to work.

Also, they say the judge i have is the hardest and most unfair. He even said I was dressed to well for court to have a serious disorder.

Has anyone else been successful in getting on disability, ssi, or any other type of program for their schizoaffective?

I've been denied 3 times now and I'm about to appeal again. I get food stamps and a free cell phone but that's all iI get at the moment. I applied for free housing but haven't had a response yet.

Did you get a lawyer those 3 times or did you just redo the application?

I don't have a lawyer YET. I may need one as the most recent one says I have to appeal to a judge. My social worker from my doctors office helped me start the process.
