Do people fully recover from social anxiety?

I seem to have had social anxiety since childhood.

It got very severe in my 20s. Slowly I started to learn about it and to take steps to improve.

I'm in my 30s. I have less social anxiety and I'm better at managing it. However I still find group situations uncomfortable and I don't really like socialising. Maybe this is simply because I'm an introvert?

I'm wondering will it always be like this. Or has anyone's social anxiety totally gone away?

Everybody is different. I have known it to ease off over times and go away but I also know of some people that gave just had to learn to manage and live with it.

Some people like you said are just introverts and happier in their own company and that’s ok.

Thanks Acorn

Yes, I think in my case I'm simply very introverted and anxiety or not I don't like socialising.

Hi Zig Zag

You are right, I'm too hard on myself!
